Another vote for Bar Keepers Friend, only found it in Sainsburys though.0

Washing-up liquid and warm water does the trick for me. If they're really grubby then a bit of bleach mixed with warm water will do the trick. Lidl or Aldi own-brand bleach is fine - seeing as how this is supposed to be money-saving and all0

Sorry to jump in here but would the above suggestions work on removing the remnants of old sticky tape?
We have tried allsorts to get it off......it's the brown-ish coloured sticky marks that are left behind when sellotape is removed.
WD40 usually does the trick. Either that or rub it over with some meths, that's also pretty good at removing sticky stuff.0 -
there are several cleaners available on amazon but CIF is very best for good results0

PVCu cream cleaner or Bar keepers Friend if they are really bad, the solvent cleaners are best on nearly new frames. When renovating property we come across frames not cleaned for years and years. The only thing you can't get rid of is where bird muck has actually etched its way into the plastic. Bar Keepers Friend is the business for 99% of difficult cleaning jobs - try it!Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0

Usually pick one up at home bargains when passing, I use it to clean stuff at home too. I first heard of it when a rep from a sink company advised its use to remove beetroot stains from a white sink, which it did.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years.
