Why is Marmite never on offer?

The only times I have bought it on discount is when I had a voucher printed at the checkouts from Sainsburys. I have also seen it on pick your offer at Waitrose.

I guess as people generally either love it or hate it then short-term discounting won't get new customers to try it for the first time.

Why is vegemite not stocked right next to the marmite? Most of the major supermarkets don't carry it. Some of us prefer vegemite to marmite.

Vegemite has less sugar than marmite. That's why it's better

Unilever knows that Marmite has an unchallenged position iin the market place. Why would it need to reduce the profit it makes from the product?

I usually get mine from Waitrose - They are as cheap as anywhere and as I buy it regularly I have it on my 'picks' list which gives me 20% off.
