Omg, Hidden wedding cost!

We got married last month, and have paid off all the (massive) bills etc, but now today we got a letter from one of the suppliers telling us they mis-billed us to the tune of £800+, but are only going to charge us £580ish.
Where do we stand, we had a quote and an invoice which seemed correct, paid it on time etc, and now they say 'sorry, we forgot to add the following...'?

I'd say tough, I paid the price quoted, simple as that. If they had quoted the higher price but invoiced lower then they would have an arguement. But they can't give you a quote then change it a month after the event. Stick to your guns and tell them to take a hike.
Congratulations by the way:A

They quoted you, invoiced you, you paid it, end of story! They can't just ask for more money. If they made a mistake, it's THEIR problem! As the saying goes, "learn from your mistakes", so i'm sure they'll know in future not to do it again!
What on earth were they wanting an extra £800 for?!?!?!?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Yes, their problem.
Imagine the chaos if all companies sent an invoice, we paid and then they said 'erm......we've forgotten to charge you for something that we should have quoted you for'.

The extra cost is for stuff they had to hire themselves, but i am tempted to say that 'you won't make that mistake again...'."I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something."0

Surely you can just say had you known the full-price they are now quoting at the beginning then you would have gone elsewhere, but the deal was based on the quote provided which you have paid, so therefore there is nothing further to payMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Tough sorry they should have thought of that. We have a production company, last year I let DH send a quote without me checking it first. It was only when I came to invoice I realised he had undercharged about £3000. The silly *** had done a total on excel but hadn't highlighted the first row so it wasn't in the total. Stupid mistake but I had to invoice what was quoted there is no way I could have asked the client for more. It was a costly lesson but he is now banned from anything to do with money.

We were given a list of costings, like an original quote, which we later met to discuss, where we added/removed things from the list. We then paid a deposit and then were billed etc (without a detailed amended invoice) after the wedding. We assumed therefore that that was that...."I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something."0

Hi
We had a similar thing happen to us a few years ago. Bought a new(er) car from a dealer and traded in our old one. Got a trade in price, did the deal etc and took away the new car. 2 days later I was phoned at work with the story that they had looked at the wrong price for trade in and we were given £500 too much.
I simply told them that legally the contract became binding when the exchange of cars/money took place and that there was nothing further I could do. I never heard from them again and TBH the guy didn't even sound suprised. Stick to your guns and you will be fine. They are just trying it on!!0
