Would I spot the gap in tiles?

This morning I heard a 'sliding' noise on my roof followed by a smash. I came outside and found a smashed roof tile on the floor. The house is a new build and we've been here just over a year.
I've asked the customer care team to come and take a look, but would I be able to see where it had come from myself? I can't for the life of me see!
It's the house on the left.view?usp=drivesdk

If the tile has come from a part of the roof that's visible then yes, it should be pretty obvious. But very often there are parts of the roof that aren't visible from the ground, e.g. hidden by a corner or just not visible due to the way it slopes. But yes, if it's on a visible part of the roof you will likely be able to see it.

But, if it's a new build, and covered by guarantee, I wouldn't worry too much - let the builders come out and take a proper look. The only thing I would say, is ask them to check the surrounding tiles as well to make sure they're not loose and likely to come off in the near future. It could be just a single tile that's come loose ( stuff like that happens ), but if it's down to shoddy workmanship ( which definitely does happen, I know from experience ! ) then you want to get it sorted before the guarantee expires.

Thanks guys. Sorry for the link trouble, not sure what happened there!
Ebe I've spoken to customer services who will have their roofing contractors come out to it and they will check for any other issues. In the time being we have found the gap; it's a half tile at the very end which is why I didn't spot it straight away.
I knew it had to be from my roof Firefox, I heard it slide down before it hit the ground and the position of the other houses means it couldn't have come from there first!
