Satnav should not be banned. Chimps who are unable to interpret it properly, or are incapable of reading it, driving and breathing at the same time, should be.

    Amen!

There was one stupid woman in the news who complained that her sat nav that she bought from Halfords kept on routing her over the QE2 bridge/Dartford Crossing. She didn't realise that there was a Rainham in Kent as well as a Rainham in Essex where she lived.

They are now clamping down on having a fag behind the wheel.

    What next?!

not allowed to use the radio or change a cd...?!

    Why not?

In my Mk.2 Mondy at 30mph, I am in command of just over 1.75 metric tonnes of metal going at 45 feet per second. I takes all the concentration I can muster.

In what percentage of car accidents has the driver involved also been listening to the radio/tape/CD player at the time?
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

if you dont know where you are going you will spend more time looking for sign posts than concentrating on the road. with sat nav you only need to follow its directions and you are free to look ahead.

what i dont get is if mobile phone conversations are dangerous why are passangers still allowed to talk to the driver, somone should sign a petition against passangers lol

I prefer to listen to the guide of the sat nav RATHER than listen to the noise of my kids squabbling in the back or moaning that i've gone the wrong way :rotfl:
Personally i think KIDS should be banned from cars, but thats another story! :rotfl:

Used properly i dont see any problem with them but put them in the wrong hands and they become leathal...........hehe :D
i.e woman turns left on to train track......, man drives wrong way up one way street......
Sure more stories will come out and blame sat nav for driver error.
