Fund for JISA

Originally I was thinking of investing in LEGAL & GENERAL UT L&G GBL 100 INDEX TST I ACC within the kids Jisa's, but now thinking it maybe better to go with HSBC Global Strategy Dynamic Portfolio C Fund Acc.

Which of the two would be the better choice?

Regards
Chris

Why have you shortlisted these two, and what makes you lean towards HSBC Global Strategy Dynamic Portfolio C Fund Acc?

Tbh I'm looking for global funds with low fees, the hsbc fund also includes bonds so will be a lower risk than the L&G. (Investing Newbie)

Popular low cost options discussed here often are L&G Multi Index, Vanguard Lifestrategy and Blackrock Consensus. All have versions holding varying amounts of bonds. The HSBC fund has also been mentioned as an option. They tend to differ in the geographic allocation (whether or not they try to reduce exposure to regions where markets are high), whether or not they include property, and how much UK bias they have.

The HSBC fund includes property, does not vary its geographic allocation and has no UK bias. If this is what you want, and it has a suitable exposure to bonds, then it is more suitable then the other fund you mention, which just invests in global equities, also with no UK bias.

The HSBC fund is a good one, good exposure to bonds etc.. I'd get that... Will require minimal management on your end..

As regards to minimal management, what would this involve?

Basically, you can drop the money in and leave it there...

For someone like me, I have 30 funds in my portfolio and depending on how they're doing I buy/sell accordingly...

You don't need to do it for this one, the allocations are managed by the HSBC fund manager etc..
