CHICAGO alt-country group Wilco are heading for Birmingham - and you could be there to see them.

The band play the Carling Academy on November 4 and to celebrate the gig we're giving away a pair of tickets, a Wilco T-Shirt and a copy of their new CD Blue Sky Blue.

Wilco are kings of blues infused alternative-rock headed up by the unmistakable voice of Jeff Tweedy. Ghostly, ephemeral and yet, somehow, catchy, Wilco's music is an amalgamation of everything that's great about a well-written pop song.

Described as "The world’s most exciting live rock band" and "one of the best live bands in existence" by reviewers, their Academy show is not to be missed.
