Morning all.
Just when you think you have cleared the washing basket DH comes in with his dirty walking clothes.
So WM and DW on already but will have an easy lunch today, steak pie and chips, peas and gravy as we had a roast in the week. Dad doesn't mind as long as he gets fed !
The car service didn't take as long as expected because the brake parts weren't ready for collection  so will hopefully collect tomorrow, after DH's oncology injection. DH was back early yesterday but I managed to fill 3 green waste bins and 3 bags but it still looks a mountain of hedge trimmings left.
DD and family are on their way to legoland for a few days so hope the weather holds till Tuesday.
Meanmarie did you suggest superglue, saves getting blood on the carpet :rotfl:
Nlmc good news on the win, are you having a share out ?
Enjoy your Sunday everyone

Youngest was driving the wheels off his new car yesterday. Hubby warned him about driving like a loon. Don't suppose it will make much difference. All I ask is that he doesn't kill himself. Still, his black box will be fitted soon. That will slow him down.
No need to wait for the black box to be fitted. The check engine light has come on dashboard. Back to the garage its gone...

Afternoon everyone, another lovely bright day here. I did our bed yesterday and that set of bedding is billowing on the line. MY OH hung it out for me and I did think I'd managed to train him a bit better, he has now started to remove the pegs rather than hang the duvet cover over them, resulting in lumps and bumps but he has hung it out completely lopsided. I am not saying anything in case he invites me to do the contortionist climbing.
Deleted_User, your OH is lucky! What a prawn.
In fact I am thinking streotypical and s exist thoughts about men, specifically yours, mine and judi's
Yesterday I wasn't going to do anything much but I baked a cake, did ALL the ironing and made a sheep and a lamb. Knitted, not real.
I am cooking a chicken later, I've made some stuffing but no other prep.
Friend popping round in an hour, then I've nothing much else that must be done today. Trying not to think about work.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Csarina I've only just seen your post from yesterday.:eek::eek: Your DH is one lucky man! It made me think, and I've just checked with Mr LW that there is a circuit breaker in place - it's just something one doesn't think about in the normal day-to-day.
I am shattered today; I guess that'll be five days of looking after a bouncy Staffie! She went home yesterday; the bungalow seemed very empty last evening. However, we now have Ronnie the long-haired JRT with us til 22nd April. :T So we have company for Easter. It's his 6th time staying with us.
With Mr LW retired, I have trouble keeping track of the bank holidays; and I hadn't really taken in that Easter was next weekend. Makes absolutely no difference to us though, other than we avoid traveling anywhere when we think the roads will be crowded.;)
I do feel for those of you with exasperating DH's. Mr LW can have his moments, but on the whole, I think I got a pretty good deal with him. He even volunteered to put the Dys0n round to get up the Bluebell-hairs before Ronnie's arrival! :AIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon - I'm home. :j
I drove a different scenic route this time, up the A82 to Tyndrum and then down to Oban and beyond. Stopped for lunch at Ben Cruachan Hydro-electric power station (lovely roast red pepper and tomato soup) which, funnily enough, had a short power cut whilst I was there!
Then I stopped at a garden centre for some compost-type stuff and now home. My garden has been weeded, looks like a number 1 haircut, think they've removed the chives and my Mrs Bradshaws in their eagerness so I've just ordered replacements. I can't be cross as they're not gardeners, just two young dads trying to make a bit extra for their families.
I've paid my electricity bill. nPower wanted me to pay £75.00 a month on direct debit which I refused. From January to the end of March my usage was £100.00 so they can stuff their direct debit scheme!
Unpacking, cooking and then relaxing!0 -
We sallied forth to see if we could find the mower people, they went out of business 12 months ago. There was a chap in the farm yard, he gave us the name of a chap in Thorpe Arnold who does mower repairs. I will ring him tomorrow.
You are too right he will pay me back for the repairs.........I am going to dock his pocket money once we get back from holiday till he's paid it off.
Its been a really lovely day, laundry dried and folded ready for ironing. Did sit out for a while, but it got rather warm, I could feel the sun starting to burn my arms despite the sunscreen, so came in. I need to put the chicken in shortly for supper.
I do not know what it is with OH. I am his third wife and have lasted the longest......I must either be nuts or stupid!!0 -

Went to DDs late afternoon, and as the weather was gorgeous we had the first BBQ of the year.I'm not a burger lover, so had some chicken and salad instead but as DD had treated her OH to a new BBQ from Argoose with her bonus vouchers from work it was really nice, and not covered in ash as the old one used to chuck it around a bit
Managed to get all of my washing and ironing done and put away today as well, I am looking after three of my DGS three days this week, so won't have a lot of time at home and also going into London on Wednesday for a day out with my eldest DD.
Just watched the Save Money Good Food programme on catch-up tv, not impressed by it as the family seemed to spend a huge amount of cash on convenience stuff £170. per week for two adults and two small children !!!
Still if they can afford it I suppose different strokes for different folksThey did seem to bin quite a lot of stuff though, which to me is very wasteful, but I am a different generation I guess
Off to bed now ,good night God bless all here
