were looking to take mum to see 42nd Street for her 84th birthday and have no idea where to get the best deals on tickets - we would like to go to the matinee on easter saturday and there seem to be quite a few sites offering different prices

If they're still available, is there not the theatre website you can get them from at face value?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Here is the official site. http://42ndstreetmusical.seetickets.com/WEBPAGES/EntaWebShow/ShowPerformance.aspx

Don't use other well known tout sites. Tickets are available.

Have a look at theatremonkey for seat information and you could ring up the theatre to see if they do day seats as often they sell these at the box office on the day a lot cheaper for many shows. As 42nd Street is a new sho there is no day seat info yet online.
