Crikey, I wouldn't trust them any further than I could throw them. "Quartz Stone" is a colour, it's not quartz & it's not stone. I have Caesarstone which, like Silestone mentioned earlier, is not cheap but it's good.

    Yes I know it's laminate.

Can I have a curve in Duropal? Is there a metal end-piece that comes in a curve that I could put over it?

I know Duropal sell laminate to put on cut edges but I don't think that would look very good.

You can get some laminate worktops with a curved end, but you will be very limited on choice of colours. A couple of links for you to peruse.

I've got a Duropal "Flash Black" laminate , I'm not sure its exactly what you're looking at but it is textured.

I find it cleans up ok, but does need a bit of a scrub at times to deep clean into the valleys. It also has a white pan mark on it from I guess a hot pan but I dont recall it happening.

I chose it as a cheaper alternative to real stone worktops.
