Hi,
Hi, is there any form of words that will make this go away (see below) or am I advised to give in to this extortion. I am writing to Morrisions but I know that they are unlikely to help. Any advice, help, template etc gratefully received. Thanks for reading. Leyton
Reference: Parking Charge Notice –
Dear Sir / Madam,
Thank you for your correspondence in relation to the Parking Charge incurred on **
** 2017 at **:**, at Morrisons Stratford car park.
The signage located at the above car park advises all motorists to enter their full, correct
vehicle registration into the payment machine or the terminal on site. It has come to our
attention that the incorrect vehicle registration was input on the date of the parking event
which has therefore resulted in a Parking Charge being issued.
As a gesture of goodwill we would like to offer you the opportunity to make a discounted
payment of £20.00.
This will be on a without prejudice basis, however we must warn you that if this balance is
not paid within 14 days from the date of this correspondence, the Parking Charge will
increase to the original value.
Please note, if no payment is received, the appeal may well be rejected and a POPLA
code provided
Upon receipt of this payment the matter will be closed and you will receive no further
correspondence from us.
Payment can be made by telephoning our offices on 0330 555 4444 or by visiting
parking Eye online or by posting a cheque or postal order to the address detailed
below.
Kind Regards,
ParkingEye Team

If you have already appealed, then you do nothing until you get a PoPLA code except complain to the CEO of Morrison's, and including a copy of a receipt or redacted bank statement. Also threaten to become an ex customer if this vile demand for payment from a genuine customer is not cancelled. State that you will tell all your friends and family not to shop there either if this isn't cancelled.
The tone of their reply indicates they are onto a loser and are begging for money. Normally they demand the full amount unless they have failed to get the NTK out on time and thus know they have failed to meet the requirements of the POFA 2012 and cannot therefore hold the keeper liable.
I'm assuming therefore that you did not reveal the identity of the driver when you initially appealed. Alternatively, Morrisons may have a clause in their contract with parking lie that prohibits them from taking genuine customers to court. Either way, stand firm and await your code, then make a sound PoPLA appeal using the template appeal points from post 3 of the NEWBIES thread.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Morrisons will often cancel a ticket if you complain.0

You need to write to David Potts who is the CEO
You need to know what scam Morrisons are running with Parking Eye
and demand the charge is cancelled.
Does this scam subsidise all the special offers to entice shoppers who are then scammed
Send a copy of the PE letter and request Morrisons pay the £200 -
All it needs is simply an email to the usual 'donotreply' @Morrisons email address, covered in every single Morrisons thread and in 'SUCCESSFUL COMPLAINTS ABOUT PPCs' as well.
I'm not even going to search for 'Morrisons' on this forum because the OP can do that. Every thread covers it!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I am waiting for a call back from Morrison's. Hopefully they will deal with Parking Eye. Thanks for your advice.0

Call back? I hope it works but that's not the 'donotreply' email...no-one suggests doing this by phone.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi,
Following a conversation with Morrison's customer services Parking Eye have rescinded the £20 random fine. A minor victory which is right and feels good.
Thanks to everyone who gave advice.

Make sure you get it in writing that it's been cancelled. Otherwise, Parking Lie could try to take you to court at a later date.0

Yeah, good advice. They are a very slippery bunch. Thanks0
