Good morning, it's another beautiful day here in S.E. Wales.
DH left about 9am to go to his friends who is helping him service our car, as DH can't crawl about on the floor any more.
The WM is on and will strip the bed in a minute, when I've had another cup of tea. I am going to chop up more of the hedge cuttings later to put in the green waste bins. Whatever is left I will bag up and DH will probably shred at a later date.
Tea tonight will be bacon, sausage and egg etc, quick and easy as I don't know what time DH will be home.
Have a lovely day everyone.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Morning everyone
Lovely and sunny here too...washing lines are full and towels are waiting to go out. My new great nephew arrived on Monday. I was down for cuddles on Tuesday and again last night...he is absolutely gorgeous. His mum and dad are very young, but are coping well and getting lots of support from the whole family. Everyone has really pulled together to help them which is lovely to see. So baby had his first Chinese family party last night!
I'm on holiday now for 2 weeks. Hoping sunshine lasts as I've done absolutely nothing in the garden this year and its a mess. Going to Amsterdam to visit eldest DD next Thursday for 5 nights so really looking forward to that.
Hope everyone has a good day0 -
Afternoon all,
that's me sorted for the weekend. Both men are playing with their new cars so I doubt if i'll see them much before midnight.
Hubby was going to finish my external letterbox and finish the garden tomorrow but i'll believe it when I see it.:rotfl:
Onwards and forwards in the lovely sunshine,

Sorry, this is going to be a rant of epic proportions......my stupid pillock of a husband mowed over the cable.....thankfully it had a circuit breaker on it other wise I could well have been a widow right now. He was stood with both ends of the cable in his hand........ I am so angry with him. I have come to the conclusion he is not longer safe with anything electrical, so guess who will be mowing the grass from now on until I can afford to pay someone to do it!!
25 years I have put up with the pratt.......I must be mad!!0 -
Oh, csarina, he was so lucky, and stupid too! That was a very near thing, not good for your heart.
DMs session at John Lewis was just splendid. A lovely assistant, nice big room, tea and loads of clothes for my DM to try on. After many many many years she's at last got trousers which fit her properly. She also got a beautiful summer jacket, a stripey top and a magnificent Jigsaw scarf. Oh, and a summer hat and then a pair of shoes from Htter. As these were my Christmas and birthday presents to her my credit card has melted. Double points in JL today too. :j
I'm so pleased she got things which she really liked. I'm now whacked, not eaten anything since yesterday and waiting for my food to cook.
No gin in this house!0 -
Sounds wonderful Gers, lovely for your DM.
What a plonker csarina!
Turned into a lovely day here, I managed a walk to the library but had to have a rest when I got home! Felt a bit better later and went to the allotment and have cut the grass. Early bath and chilling this evening.0 -

That must have been an awful fright for you both and thank heaven for the circuit breaker.

Sometimes if I am short on time I switch the machine off and then reset it for a shorter wash or rinse etc.
Went in to York and had an early Easter lunch with two dds and sil as I will be away next week. Revisited a place called Lucky Days which do lovely salads, quiches etc and people rave about their scones with lavender. We all really enjoyed the meal and it was good to get together.
Can't believe how fast time is flying and need to get euros on Monday and start to sort out what to pack for Thursday and get back to healthy eating after the holiday.
Someone has helpfully padlocked the garden gate and I can't find the key so gardener has had to go through the house every time.
I also can't find the keys which used to be on the dresser in the conservatory  Gardener has offered to bring bolt cutters for the padlock next time so I can at least open the gate.
Washing machine is on ready for me to hang things outside tomorrow before the weather breaks on Monday. A load of clean laundry has been folded and put away and I am on my own tomorrow so can have a quiet day with some baked salmon fillet for lunch and maybe actifry chips and a simple breakfast like scrambled eggs on toast.
Monday afternoon is an U3A film day with a Charlie Chaplin film and a couple of other short films so will enjoy that.
