How best to do this?
I have a UK HSBC account.
I have a halifax clarity credit card - which has allowed me to withdraw from cash machines upto a daily limit of around £600.
We do not have any Cyprian accounts yet as we do not yet have any address, but maybe we can open without?
However i need access to around £3-5k, for buying a car and rent deposits etc on a flat. Ideally I need to get this on the day or day after arriving, this Sunday.
I would like to avoid any hefty fee.

North or South?
big difference...The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -
If it's South, why not take it with you from the UK as it's under £10k. You could always declare it anyway to be on the safe side. If it's North, as mentioned another story.0

Get a second cardholder for Clarity. 2x£600=£1200.
Get Revolut, Monzo and, possibly, some other prepaid cards: Cheapest prepaid travel cards
For the rest order cash in UK: Travel Money Maximiser
EDIT: forget this and get realistic. I missed "this Sunday" bit.0 -
Sounds like you're emigrating before the next working day and haven't yet considered how to pay for it! You may need to rethink your criteria of doing this cheaply and just concentrate on being able to do it at all at absurdly short notice - is your local UK branch of HSBC open tomorrow morning? We do not have any Cyprian accounts yet as we do not yet have any address, but maybe we can open without?
