Best basic free personal account for business?

    GlynG you may find you have to have a business account regardless of the fact you believe you don't need or want one. There are plenty of business bank accounts available:

    Limited companies have to have their own accounts (as the company has its own money that is treated as a separate entity). Sole Traders don't (you and the business are one and the same) BUT it's highly recommended that you do have a separate account for it. To that end it is probably best to get a full-blown business account just to cover yourself.

    You may be able to put the £7 a month down or whatever as a business expense but I can't find a definite source on that, not that that's important in the first place as you can often get it free for 12/18/24 months, then they start charging you for deposits, payments, scratching your nose and so on.
