Hi guys,

I don't have my usual head on so please bear with me on this.

I have received a letter from DRP titled:

"Letter before referral for legal action"

is this one that I can safely ignore as it is from DRP and not the legal arm of UKPC Ltd creative writing department?

Thanks very much for your time, I'm usually writing on Peppipoo forum, but my little head has messed up the password/username log-in thingy.

    By "referral" they mean passing back to UKPC admitting they are a failure

    It has been said 1000's of times on her >>> IGNORE DRP

    You can refer it to the sewer where all DRP letters belong

    UKPC do sometimes sue, using SCS (Solicitor firm). Defences are on both forums - here and on pepipoo.

    DRP are involved in some pretty sharp practice. I may well take their pre-action correspondence to court with me if it comes to that.

    1. Adding to the debt with unspecified charges (the magic additional £50)

    2. Stating that they will recommend court action when they have no entitlement to pursue action (and, technically) their recommendations are meaningless - to advise regarding any proceedings formally would be a regulated legal activity and DRP ain't solicitors...

    3. Averring that the parking Co is entitled to recover solicitor costs for what is, as a small claims matter, limited to debt plus court fees
