Feeling extremely guilty right now, clearing the floor earlier, picked DS2 DS up off the floor and as I went to put it on the shelf I dropped it! It isn't working right and caused DS2 a massive melt down. DH says it shouldn't have been on the floor anyway but that hasn't stopped the guilt.
Been trying to get some more cleaning done as got the L.A. coming out Tuesday then the kids decided to make slime and there's glue, food colouring and flour everywhere, I've shut the door on it until morning. I've got some old booster seats, scooters and rollerblades sat in the room. Wondering if they'll go on Face book if i put them on as free, good condition just need a clean.
At work all afternoon tomorrow so shouldn't spend anything.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Oh no! to the DS... perhaps after Christmas when you (hopefully) have time to think/act, a solution will come to you. It could be just a loose connection or a replacable screen?
Worth trying the booster seats etc on Facebook, or an ad in a local shop. They could be just what someone needs.
As to the conservatory, it sounds great! I like the thought of a Christmas tree and decorations all sharing their glory with the rest of the world, and in addition it will be near-enough ready to benefit the family after all the decs are down.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. Been a while again since i last posted.Hope everyone has had a fantastic Christmas!
Cherryfudge, DD gave his DS a good shake saying it couldn't make it any worse, luckily it still seems to be working so think there was a loose connection.
Conservatory looked lovey, it was nice to be able to use it this year.
We had a lovely christmas, was very busy and spent a few nights wrapping until the early hours, the joys of kiddies that dont sleep. All toys are upstairs, probably all over the floor but at least i have some room downstairs, except the table that is completely covered in lego models.
DH is at work tonight so i'm going to have a check through all bills and accounts and get everything ready for a new year.
We have had 3 NSD in a row! Don't think that has ever happened. I need to do some shopping though, we need a microwave, some pans and i'm hoping just a new power switch (£16) for the dryer that has stopped working. We currently have airers everywhere to try and dry the washing. I was going to use money we had for Christmas for the pans/microwave but i've had strict instructions from my dad that it is to be spent on us. We used the gift cards that I hadn't used on the children's toys for a heater for the conservatory, there is about £30 left on it so will use it to fill the freezer next week. I have some money in the house/emergency fund account that might have to buy the items and i'll use dads money for clothes or something or even a day out Saturday as we have our first weekend off work together since DH started in Feb.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Good afternoon. Not a NSD today as had to order the part for the dryer. Need to go shopping tomorrow too as about out of bread and milk. The children also want party food for new years eve, it will just be a few snacks on the table for them.
Had a look through all cards today to see where i stand ready for 1st of month update. Realised 1 of the payments i've been waiting for to come out, isn't coming out until the 2nd Jan. So i've used the money that was waiting for it to pay on another CC and that payment will come from next months money. Hopefully once it has cleared i'll be starting 2018 with just under 28k debt (at minute i think it was sitting at £28006!). Wanted to see it under 28k for the new year.
Going to work through 1 bill at a time tonight to see if any can be reduced. I also need to factor in paying DD1 £40 a month. She babysits for the whole day on a saturday (i work from 10 till 7 plus bus journey time, DH is here but in bed after his night shift) and we have said if she starts helping with the house work while babysitting we would give her £10 for each saturday. She has taken out a new phone contract as she has smashed her phone so i will no longer be paying her £7.50 sim contract. Just hoping she does start to help out now.
Looking at bank accounts and dont think there will be much to sweep over this month but we have managed the whole of christmas without touching the credit cards!LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Been sat with the laptop most of the afternoon. Going through what i can. Wont get a remortgage until some of the debt has gone, tv/water/council tax are fixed amounts. Phone/internet is a new contract. Utilities are on the best deal until June, we can probably reduce the usage by loads though if the kids will help.
Only thing we can make a saving on at the moment is my phone contract, on checking it, it ends on the 6th Jan! Need to look at deals, i think i'll just go to sim only.
My goal is to be down to £21000 by this time next year.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Went to get a few bits this morning, bread, milk, party food. Also got wrapping paper for next year, 2 big lumps of meat for dinners next week, DH had 2 cases of beer for the weekend and a new microwave. So the little shop turned into quiet an expensive one
Not really done much else today, tree and decorations from conservatory are down ready for the kids to have lights on on sunday. Cant believe im back at work in 3 days and haven't managed any of my plans.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Well we didn't get our day out. The part came for the dryer so DH spent a few hours digging it out and sorting the part... it didn't work! While looking for a new dryer, I was reading about ours and it mentioned a fluff sensor so sent DH to have a look at the bottom filter. He said that was fine and gave it a good kick! It's actually working! I was so close to buying another. While he was there he pulled out the second washer that packed in a few weeks ago, after spinning the drum a few times, it seemed to free up and is working ok.Both will only be used if we are about but at least I can try to catch up mow before going back to work.
So this afternoon has been a washing marathon!
I have nice clean fresh bedding on, came up to bed early as DH home so thought I might sleep. His snoring is driving me insane! Actually sat on the loo typing before I shove a sock in his mouth.
Shopping is coming in the morning, can't believe it's the last shop of 2017. I'm going to sit while DH at work tomorrow and make sure all accounts are ready for the new year.
Suppose I better try going back to bed, or maybe the sofa, can still hear him snoring from here.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554
