Read the letter again, it will say "we may take court action" they won't, that's not how the system works.

It's 100% bluff in my opinion.

  • here is the exactly what it says...
I got three of these, each with a slight different amount (all around 145 euros mark though)

"The company Centrobill Limited has instructed us as a registered collection company with the recovery of the open claims from of the application from 01.09.2016 (corresponding power of attorney is assured). We therefore call you to pay the total amount of
    EUR 146,54
    by
    17.04.2017 (receipt in our account).

Click here and pay by SOFORT Überweisung

If we have not received a payment by the prescribed deadline, we will recommend that our client immediately start dunning proceedings.

You can, of course, arrange an installment payment agreement with us if you are unable to pay the amount owed in the amount of 146,54 € by 17.04.2017 (receipt in our account) all at once."

And there's the thing, they will recommend legal action, does not mean that's what will happen.
I can recommend you take a holiday in Cuba, doesn't mean you will do does it, same principle applies.

    Typical DCA bluff my friend.

If I had a £1 for every letter like that I received back in the day, I'd be a very rich man by now.

Forget your credit rating as only you can see it, the credit history part is what lenders can see and if they can do it its where the DCA will add an entry if they can do so.

I'm having the same problem, but I live in a country close to Germany so maybe it's easier for them to sue me. Could you tell me if or when they stopped harassing you?
