Redditch and Bromsgrove are two different places. I haven't compared recently but Redditch was always cheaper.
Bromsgrove as a whole is lovely and there's nice things coming like the new Waitrose, an M&S Simply Food and lots of new development in the town centre.
What's your budget?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

My budget is around 220k. Thanks0 -
Redditch is the old town centre which is now a shopping centre, surrounded mainly by new town housing estates. It's not got a huge amount to offer apart from the Kingfisher centre other than a good train service into Brum.
There are some perfectly fine bits to live in, and it has some nice green bits but it depends what makes a good place to live for you.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
We lived in Bromsgrove for 10 months, then outside Redditch for about 2 years.
We moved back to Bromsgrove and have been here for 10 years. There aren't really any areas to avoid - the bits that are will be well under your budget. If you see a three bed for £125k, don't buy it.
Catshill has a bit of a bad rep, but the dingy bit is such a small area in a large village and there are lovely cottage type houses that are a bit cheaper than other bits of town and fields right on the doorstep. Bits of Charford and bits of Sidemoor, but again, it's isolated areas and it's Bromsgrove, not Beirut. Schools are great.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
