Will the credit checkers accept if I can't pay all rent my mum makes up the rest?

...when credit checking for renting a flat.

So if I could pay say 50% of the rent myself and they can credit check me for that and my mum is also my garantaur but would also be paying the remainder of the rent I couldn't pay. Would they accept that?

I lived with a friend once and his mum just paid for a whole six months of his rent in one go.

They will be looking for your income to be X times the annual rent. Unless this is an area they really struggle to find tenants in, they are more likely to go for another tenant that can pay the whole rent than agree to what you are proposing.

How does this tie up with your aim to move to a cheaper flat in Hull? Can you actually afford to live anywhere on your own? Perhaps you should be looking at sharing.

You'll have to ask. I wouldn't accept if i was the LL, a guarantor is meant to be last resort, not first.

It is entirely up to the landlord/agent how he selects tenants and what or if checks he runs. But unlikely you'll be accepted, perhaps if mum offers to go onto tenancy (so she's also liable for the rent).

My best ever tenants, no real checks at all, I took them after a neighbour said "Mr Artful, they very nice people".

Why not look for a full time permanent job? There were 2 people in your previous thread who both said they were programmers who would be able to afford the rent increase without extra help.
I struggle to understand why you would rather stay self-employed earning seemingly a very low wage and let your mother pay half your rent than go look for another job. Unless I've missed something that is preventing you from getting a job? Even a work from home one?

I am a landlord and you wouldn't get accepted for any of our properties because we could easily find someone who would be able to pay the whole rent on their own.

Are you still looking at Hull?

I would like to suggest that you look at places near to metro link stations so that you can get into Manchester if you need to. There are places close to metro link station where you could rent for less than you are paying now.

Here is an example of the type of property you might like that is close to a train station with links to Manchester ( I am not recommending this particular property it is just an example to give you an idea of what is available.) There will be lots of others with either metro links or on bus routes that would give you access to Manchester if you needed to go there.
