Morning All
Thinking of you and your Dad tru.
Brightish again here, I'll put the washing out in a mo. DW emptied but that's about it.
Managed a good night, mind you I'm exhausted - could have done with a few days to get better before Aunt came but we had a good time, the house is now lovely and quiet. I think she was vaccinated with a gramophone needle when she was young!
You were right Gers - I was in bed nice and early!
I'm not doing much today, don't even need any shopping.
Have a good Thursday. Take care. XX0 -
Good morning everyone :hello:
It's a beautiful sunny morning here, I have been awake for hours but I don't feel too tired yet. I can always have a nana nap later if I need to.
Hubby has left for work and DD14 has been downstairs for breakfast but has now disappeared back to her room. I am playing 80's pop loudly while sitting at the computer so I expect the other girls to come down soon to tell me off.
I am going to make herby chicken, couscous and tzatziki for dinner as I fancy something lighter to eat. No one else really likes couscous normally but I have made this before and it all got eaten so I have made an executive decision to cook this :rotfl:.
My breadmaker gave up the ghost yesterday but it had done years of service so I wasn't too worried. I have ordered the same one but the latest model and it should be delivered today. Meanwhile I taught DD14 to make bread and she found it very therapeutic kneading it. She decided to make a hedgehog shaped loaf which tastes really nice although I felt a bit guilty sawing through him to make toast.
Tru, I hope your dad is right and if he has anything, they have caught it very early so he will make a great recovery. Doesn't stop you worrying though does it. Sending you peace of mind vibes xx
JackieO, I hope your holiday is going great and the weather is kind x
Hester, oh dear, I hope you get to the bottom of what happened with your team, give them a hug/boot up the bum as needed.
I went to see a nurse yesterday at the surgery for my yearly MOT and results of my blood tests I had done a couple of weeks ago, While I was there she checked my blood pressure again and it was absolutely fine which was a relief. All my bloods were fine apart from the the one that tests my blood sugar over the past 12 weeks. It was very high so I have to go and see a doctor this afternoon to discuss it. I am not looking forward to it as my usual doctor is on sabbatical and I have never met this new doctor before. I would appreciate calming vibes sent to me this afternoon
I hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx0 -
Dumpling good on you for finding something for your DD, maybe she could take up kick-boxing to help her? And please don't worry about the new Dr, you've had a lot going on over the last couple of months xx2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Hi  It's a lovely day.
Didn't quite manage to post this morning but have been busy shopping.:)
Had to go to H*lf*rds with DH (oh deep joy wandering the parts aisle looking for air and oil filters - not !) because he wants to service the car before the MOT at the end of the month. Then called in A*di for milk and potatoes, gosh it was busy in there, but then I realised it was Thursday and it's always busy on their "Special buys" day.
This afternoon will be spent watching the DGC in their Easter Bonnet Parade then bringing them home with us. DD will come to collect them later and stay for tea and Dad invited himself too. So we will have roast chicken and veg followed by cakes and/or fresh fruit salad.
Well must stop waffling as the WM has finished so will hang it out.
Dumpling sending good vibrations for this afternoon
TA congrats on the new baby
NMLC enjoy your days off
Enjoy the rest of Thursday everyone.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Afternoon.
Made it to Glasgow, stopped off at Loch Fyne Oyster Bar for some fishy stuff for DM. I don't eat fish so got myself a meaty baguette. Then went down to Helensburgh for Wrose again (DM likes their coffee so I bought some fruit and got the coffee) and the c r a w l e d through roadwork past Dumbarton Hospital, should have turned round and go another way. But, all's well. DM has a list of 'chores' for me and I'm off in the morning to remake my will, it needs updating since the loss of one nephew last year as he was the main beneficiary.
I hope everyone's had some pleasure from today. I'm off to have a lie down!0 -
Just a quick post to wish tru's dad wellI was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0

Morning :hello:
Dad has had rubbish test results from his bowel screening (I didn't realise all adults over 60 are offered this regularly) so had go for a colonoscopy. They found something but aren't 100% sure what, he's seeing the consultant today and will probably have to have blood tests and a scan. Not sure if that's the right order, mum was relaying info to me and was quite upset so it all came across a bit jumbled. Dad isn't the slightest bit concerned, he says the last test was clear so whatever this is is new, therefore they've caught it early, which is exactly what regular screening is meant to do and he's happy to just do whatever the doctors say and it'll all be fine as long as he does as he's told, thanks very much! Very logical, my dad
Busy day in the house today. Had our usual visitor for tea. Nice man, bit rough round the edges but a decent sort...that's if you don't count the amount of wives he's cheated on...the amount of kids he's fathered all by different women....Even left one woman at the alter I believe....oh dear.
He's entertaining that's for sure.
I'm listening to music in bed whilst hubby is sorting his accounts for the ending of the tax year. It's a hard life being him.
