When journos should not do PPC articles.

I really do despair. A 'consumer journo' by the name of James Walker writes a column for my local paper (Colchester Gazette).
This week, he did an article on how to deal with an invoice from a PPC.
What a pity he failed to actually research the subject fully before putting finger to keyboard.
He makes no mention of the fact that there are 2 AOS's that a PPC may be a member of.
Neither did he mention that there are 2 appeals services.
Think I might pen an article myself and send it to the editor with a note that this is what a properly researched article on private parking PCNs should look like.

Complain to the editor about James Walker as he is misleading readers0 -
I assume this is the article

Not great, but I've seen a lot, lot worse.
Oh and James Walker isn't a newspaper journalist, he's the founder of Resolver, an organisation closely affiliated with MSE. His consumer column is seemingly syndicated in many local newspapers.0 -
oh dear resolver , just try a random parking company
Your rights
Not driving the car
If you were not driving the car you have the right to appeal the Parking Fine Notice, although it is the owner of the car who is responsible for the ticket anyway in England, Scotland and Wales.
the guy is realy up on the facts isnt he

The page at the end of that link is dire. "Parking Fine Notices" and "Parking Charge Notifications" and this was written after "research"? Really?
I call BS. The only thing that was being "researched" here was the back of a pair of eyelids! My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
the ironic thing is that the instructions for appealing where for JAS parking , who are not in a ATASave a Rachael

I have never yet read a news article on a subject of which I personally know the true facts that has been accurate.0
