UKPC Windscreen - Wrong color
I have today come from work to my car to see a PCN from UKPC on my windscreen, i was parked on the road alongside an empty field, of which is enclosed by a small metal and wooden fencing, and very occasionally along this fence is signage stating you cannot park there etc, it has no yellow lines, however the opposing side of the road is double yellowed.
However on the PCN it states my car as silver (is black) which is obviously not just a simple mistake to make such as red and brown ?.
any advice on this would be useful, as i have spent some time trying to find a similar case / thread to mine but cannot find anything fitting to the wrong color, or the fact it is on a road supposedly governed by UKPC (how they can control a road is beyond me)
many thanks !

Colour won't make a difference to these jokers. The colour of your money is all that matters to them.
You also made the mistake of assuming that material facts somehow give you a specific "case" - they don't.

It's a common trick of the parking skimdustry (and UKPC are one of their biggest tricksters having forged photographs in the past). It is aimed at luring the motorist to phone them up to point out the error, at which point they are subjected to some clever questioning aimed at getting the motorist to identify themselves as the driver.
Don't fall for it. And never phone a PPC (or a debt collector). Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Thanks for the response pogofish!
I had been browsing the newbies thread for a while before posting this, and will follow the process in due time.
as a side note though, a colleague of mine parked in the exact same spot a few months ago, got the PCN on his windscreen, and he sent them an email and has never heard from them since (nearly 5 months) would it be feasible for me to send the same email (worded to my own case) and hopefully nip it in the bud ?0 -
Only if it doesn't say who was driving and isn't some ranting old template about 'no genuine pre-estimate of loss'. Why not use the one already here in the NEWBIES thread, submitted online on DAY 26 (it is explained in the NEWBIES thread why to delay it till day 26).
Our template appeal causes UKPC to give up sometimes and if not, you get a POPLA code and we win them too.
Your colleague has to wait SIX YEARS to be sure UKPC are not pursuing it in court, you know!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Unless he has written confirmation that his ticket was cancelled then he cannot breathe easy just yet. A PPC has up to six years (five in Scotland) to initiate action, and if his email has unwittingly identified him as the driver, then his task of defending an action some time down the line is made all the harder.
Or he may just get a load of scummy debt collector letters down the line - and they can keep coming periodically for a long time.
IF you have the text, there is nothing to stop you posting it-up here without identifying details for further opinions.
