MET Parking - Starbucks

Hi,


I have been reading through the various posts regarding MET parking charges, but am still quite confused. With one hand people say ignore, and others say to send various letters.


I received a ticket when parking in Starbucks - I arrived at the carpark at 12:00, and went straight to the toilet! at 12:15 brought a coffee. returned to the car and the ticket was there.


I have a copy of the receipt from Starbucks.


what should I do?

The advice to ignore (except in Scotland or NI) has not been given on this site since 2012 when the law changed. Anyone or anything telling you otherwise is seriously out of date.

Please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES then send the BPA template in blue you will find there about day 26, just like it tells you to do. Don't miss the appeal deadline.
In addition, complain like mad to the retailer (manager or CEO) and demand they cancel the ticket.

Leave negative feedback on social media if they don't.

I may well be going blind but the only BPA template I can find is talking about the signs, is that the correct one?


I have spoken to the manager and she is going to speak to MET however she doesn't hold out much luck! she will get an even grumpier response next time

The template in the NEWBIES thread is the right one, written like that for a reason. Signs are ALWAYS in small print.
