parking fine on private land please help
not really sure how to start this.
I read the Newbie FAQ, but really don't know what applies to my situation.
my car received a parking ticket, which was a card left on the car. Then 9 days later i got a parking notice fine from MyparkingCharge.co.uk. saying to pay in 14 days and pay £60 or £100 after that.
I logged on the website and it has pictures of the car and a picture of the sign that was somewhere there.
I am not sure what to do as they say the land is private. The driver parked the car there as there were several other cars there thinking that it would be ok to park there as it was after 6pm and wouldn't be an issue parking there. it was dark and they didn't notice any signs near where they parked.

Excel or VCS I guess?
If so, then it's an initial appeal as per the sticky - the template for an IPC operator.
It will be rejected, you will be offered the option to appeal to the IAS (but read section 3 of the sticky about the cons and cons of appealing to the IAS), then await (absolutely powerless) debt collector letters, which can be ignored.
The parking company has up to 6 years to pursue you through the courts - and Excel and VCS are doing more of these now. Cases are very defendable, but if you've struggled to deal with the sticky for the basic information, defending a claim will take a lot more resilience and determination, along with good research skills on your part.
The forum can advise and signpost you, but doesn't provide a 'leave it with us to sort out for you' service I'm afraid. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Hi,
Thank you for the reply. They seem to be Excel. I don't want some to do all the work for me, but i don't have any experience in dealing with these kind of people.
Also I checked the IPC letter and they have given all that information on the website, when i logged in. it has pictures with time stamps and a picture of the signage telling me that no parking 24 hours.
I would be grateful for all the help that i can get on doing the right thing. I can try to upload a picture of the signage and car if that would help.
I would just like a little help writing the correct letter to appeal the pcn if possible
I just want a little in making sure i am doing the right thing and not wasting time in trying to appeal something that i could lose.
thank you0 -
