Looks like the court case is going ahead then, and wht a waste of paper.
I haven't read all 78 pages because it looks boring as !!!!. It seems they have tried to enforce their claim by referencing a load of other cases - there is a 39 page supplement on Cavendish Sq. Holdings vs. Talal El Makdessi
They've also fought my 'signage' argument with pics of the signs (one of them looks suspect - stock photo)
What's the next step? Are they just showing my their argument, but still hoping that I back down?
All thoughts welcome?

Only 78 pages? One person I helped had a 180-page version, you got off lightly.
99% of it is irrelevant template rubbish, which one Judge described as 'prolix' and struck it out.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -
I trust you have read the court guide in the NEWBIES by the very same bargepole that has just posted. There is also a whole court section in the NEWBIES for you to familiarise yourself with.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.
All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
This is a small claims court hearing a piddling parking charge, which may be devoid of merit anyway.
Surely Judges must see this sort of behaviour as a waste of the court's time, and an abuse of the system. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
You'll know what your next step is because the court letter setting the hearing date told you the deadline to get your own Witness statement and evidence filed. Unless you've done that already (I am not talking about the initial defence).JayEdgerHoover wrote: »Looks like the court case is going ahead then, and wht a waste of paper.

Hi there, I'm not sure if I did an 'initial defence' I just filled out all the forms the court sent me then I copied, pasted and edited the defence from here - that's the only thing I sent them. I ignored all letters from Parking Eye until they made a court claim0 -
So what did your defence say exactly? And did you include it with the paperwork, attached, so that a defence was actually filed? What did it say?
And like I said:You'll know what your next step is because the court letter setting the hearing date told you the deadline to get your own Witness statement and evidence filed. Unless you've done that already (I am not talking about the initial defence).
