Lots of stuff on here, I'm not sure which one to use.
I think there is something built into the HP drive, but I'm not sure how to find it.0 -
if you know it is a seagate drive I would use seatools. I would always go for the manufacturers tools first.
However if you do not know, the second choice or ones further down should work, but I would choose HDDScan v3.3 - Free Hard Drive Testing Tool

Yup, I know how to restore from my Clickfree. Very easy to use. It has a button called 'restore'. I have used this before when I got my current desktop to put all the stuff from my old one onto it.0 -
I have found the HP assistant, and clicked to run:
HPHDDCheck.exe
I get a red message saying:
'this app has been blocked for your protection.
with administrator.0 -
Run as administrator or select allow it to run.
I would use the hard drive manufacturers tools though over any HP ones.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

I do not know this software. Do you have the click free software, full software, not like some that use a loader that installs from a web site??? If so you had better put that too on your usb stick, and hope it does not call home.Editors' Note: This product has been discontinued and is no longer available for download or use.
If you are a Clickfree hard drive customer, there is no impact to your Clickfree backup. Hard drive backups will continue to work as they always have.
Local photos were not affected; and your Clickfree backup was also not affected. As such, after January 22, 2016, after the cloud copies are deleted, this will in no way affect any local photos (be it on your devices or on your hard drives).0 -

If the Clickfree software isn't available any more, do you know how you would restore the backups onto a new disk, if the existing disk died?
I did this when I changed from my previous desktop to the current one.0
