Theresa May's ridiculous statement

Theresa May has waded into a row over the decision to drop the word “Easter” from a Cadbury and National Trust “egg hunt”.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/theresa-may-cadbury-national-trust-easter-egg-hunt-church-england-saudi-arabia-vicars-daughter-a7665536.html

The lady should be concentrating on the CCJ issue and the parking scam that is spread by vermin throughout the UK.

She has chosen to comment on a very trivial story which is none of her business

Get into the real world Mrs May:eek:

It's all about headlines and press exposure. PPC scams aren't "sexy" and this one is "now".

Another day; another outpouring of completely irrelevant bolleaux from the PM and the press that proves once again that neither has the vaguest connection with reality - as experienced by the rest of us. As if more proof was ever needed.

My father was, in his day, a horny-handed son of toil but had some amazingly prescient insights. Years ago - but very much in the latter half of the 20th century - it remained a reasonably widespread practice to cut newspapers into squares and thread them onto loops of string for use in the outside lavvie (usually on Sunday afternoons).

Being something of a connoisseur of the relative qualities of newsprint and the content of the publications Dad's usual line was:

"<insert name of newspaper> there's a good newspaper to wipe your ar*e with"

Which he'd apply to any paper save the Morning Star. Given that it wasn't about in those days one wonders what he would have made of the Indie? I can guess.

As he got older he stopped reading the newspapers first maintaining that being hung on a nail was all that they were worth. A few years later he switched to Bronco explaining that the papers were so full of b*llsh*t that their wiping efficiency was completely compromised.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

Slightly off topic - Never heard of Bronco, hope it wasn't as bad as San izal which offered the choice of a smooth or rough side !

My Mother was a good recycler when it came to 'bog paper', she would send me as a young lad underneath market stalls to gather the tissue paper that the fresh fruit had been wrapped in. Thought we were Royalty when using it !

I don't think there are many references in the Bible to chocolate eggs .
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Isaiah 59: They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.

    or

Isaiah 10: and as one gathereth eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.

Edit: Haven't a clue what it means though.

Given that she's the daughter of an Anglican priest and a regular C of E worshipper herself, I would argue it's very much her business! And what appears to be trivial to you has offended many of a spiritual leaning.

I think that the biggest fear involving this issue is that Easter isn't being mentioned due to the fact that it may 'offend' other religions. I don't think this is the case, but I do think it's a cynical way of marketing the eggs to other faiths.

The National Trust site has a number of references to Easter events. In fairness, the product is Cadbury's Creme Eggs with no mention of Easter in the product name, so I am not quite sure what the current problem is.

But with the many liberal attempts to deny Christian festivals by misguided wets in the UK for fear of offending other faiths, I am all for her standing up for Christianity.

All we want May to do is put on her political hat and wake up Marcus Jones MP to stop this government approved scam
