hi
has anyone come accross any simple plans to close a double bed into a wardrobe or alike. we need space in a small bedroom as the bed would only be used twice a year.

If there's sufficient space what about a sofabed instead. Or futon? Or even an airbed ?
Or howabout a foldaway guest bed ..like this.
My parents have one of the single foldaway beds like that. It doesn't look very nice when not in use but you could make a cover for it or stick it in a cupboard.

john lewis used to do 'murphy' beds that fold up onto the wall. don't klnow if they still do though.
but others do: http://www.hideaway.co.uk/Products/swingaway_wall_bed_systems.php?gclid=CLeb7azX5o4CFQ5uMAodiX-tJg
costs about twice andrew's zed-bed style one but then it's always out. for only twice a year i'd go with the cheaper option.0 -
Great but not at that cost but will keep on bookmarks
many thanks

I'd consider getting one of those blow up airbeds - the ones that are the same height and shape of a normal double bed? We have one for guests, and are assured that it's nice to sleep on.
