The importance of polls - its all about what the people want

As polls seem to the arbiter of all things here's an experiment in polling; will the affected parties respect the democratic wishes of the board?
Like all good referendums it's binary choice
I reserve the right to hold another one in a few weeks time in case I don't like the result or in hindsight wish to reverse it.

I don't think a poll effectively campaining against two forum posters is a good idea, do you? There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0

Interesting. I encourage people to vote, I don't mind this.0

But if there is a poll to be had, it will be made in Fish thread, by the Fish thread and decided on by the Fish thread. I refuse to recognise that any poll outwith those parameters and decided elsewhere in the forum is necessary for it to go ahead. You have provided no answers re the benefits of myself or Tricky resigning nor what currency we would use in future posts in alternative threads. Is also a shame that you've sought to demonise posters on the basis of personality, rather than the issues at hand.
Here's Alex rocking a kilt in the spirit of positive campaigning. Phwooar...and because I think the somewhat nasty flavour of your poll needs lightening up. Enjoy !It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?0 -
Shouldn't this thread be in the special playground that is DT?!0

nothing nasty about this; its as fair and open as these things can be
I just wanted to a) see what the people wanted and b) see if those affected would respect the democratic will of the peopleLeft is never right but I always am.0 -
Normally I wouldn't get involved in such pettiness, but anyone using the phrase 'echo chamber' is on thin ground.
As forum favourite phrases go -
It was 'strawman'
Then became 'acolyte'
Now it's the above.
'Confirmation bias' is coming up strong (could be my fault).0 -

I've not taken it in that way.
I would fully expect to see the usual posters that I disagree with voting in a particular column but that doesn't bother me at all. In fact it's quite light hearted banter, welcome respite if truth be told.0 -
Normally I wouldn't get involved in such pettiness, but I do love the way Shakey keeps rattling the cages of our resident knuckle-draggers.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0
