Can buyers see my reserve price?

Options
Hi

I'm about to list a few pricey items on ebay, but was just wondering if the buyers will be able to see my reserve price, or will it just say 'reserve not met' if it hasn't.

Thanks

  • No, they can't see what your reserve is. But eBay's minimum reserve price is £50 so they'll know that it's at least that much.
  • No one can see your reserve, It'll just say 'reserve not met' .
Every day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm WELSH. .
  • I would tell them the reserve if they asked for it, after all, no-one wants to waste time bidding on an item that has a reserve set higher than they're willing to pay.

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j
  • I never understand why people don't just put what the reserve price is in the listing.

I don't either, as you can just place a silly bid, double of what you think the item is worth.
The reserve is revealed & then you can retract the bid.

I don't understand why people have a reserve at all. Why not just start auction at the lowest price you are willing to accept
Now I think about it though, is it cheaper to list with a reserve than have a higher starting price?
