about probate and share transfer ownership

Hi all,
I would like to know something regarding probate and share ownership transfer.
Let's say my husband has passed away, I would need to hand over the probate to the secretary in order for it to process for the change of ownership of the share of a specific company. However, if my husband is a guarantor of the specific company. Would I automatically be a guarantor too, after the transfer of shares?
Would I need to sign any documents at all for the transfer ownership of shares? If I do need to sign something, will the document state the shares transfer and also the guarantor details, or they would just state about the transferring of shares? Thanks guys.
