Have just had the above offer emailed to me, and it seems good but am I missing something?
Balance transfers within 30 days of opening, are 4.9% until 31st January 2012, with a 2.5% balance transfer fee....

If you have an exsisting debt at a higher rate of interest Balance transfer that debt onto the HSBC card,even with the BT fee you will still save money in interest payments.
Personally I would BT upto the limit that you are given as you have until 2012 to pay it off.There is of course nothing to stop you paying the debt off as soon as you can while taking advantage of the lower rate.Previously known as Bokken,registered at MSE in Nov 04,computer glich deleted my access but it is fun building up my stars from scratch,again.:D0 -
Depends on the rate of interest on balances you have on existing cards that you could transfer over.
And, how soon you expect to pay those balances off.0
