Read the newbies thread post #4 and calm down.

Because debt collectors are just letter-senders and you are too late to appeal.

BTW, this is not your thread so it is unfair to hijack it, so no replies here please.

Hi coupon mad. Sorry to hijack the thread. Just easier than starting s new thread.

So DRP just sent another threatening letter saying that if I don't pay by next week then they will advise ecp to take court action.
    Your advice?

You have been told what to do about powerless debt collectors, also to stop contaminating someone else's thread, it may be easier for you but it makes it very difficult for everyone else!

    *UPDATE*

Hey guys, thought I'd give you an update on my PCN with ECP.

After contacting the land owner, Shore Woods Country Park and explaining the situation they got back to me today with confirmation that the PCN has been cancelled by ECP (even got the email sent to me that has ECP confirming this).

So woohoo! that's a big relief and a nice win!

So firstly, thanks CM for your advice on here and also the wider community for their advice I've seen outside on this post it's great!

Things I've learnt. Do NOT ignore the initial PCN - always appeal!! This *might* have been cancelled early on. However going directly to the land owner in this instance worked perfectly. It was a straight forward mistake and I'm glad common sense prevailed.

    Cheers

Well done on getting a cancellation :T

The other point is really to read the PPC notice(s) and work within their silly rules. Because if everyone does that, no more PCNs, no more appeals, no more parking companies!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    True.

I haven't collected a PCN in years and I (and my family) always read signs to the nth degree!
