  • Morning (((((((((( hugs )))))))))) especially to Mrs and Mrs TA, so sorry about the tough news.

Jackie, enjoy your few days with the boys.

Camelot...there is a tea room on Britannia, we took my daughter some years ago, she enjoyed her 'tea with the Queen'.

Fine morning, washer on, I want to wash the towels as well, hopefully they will dry.

Not too stiff after my hour in the garden yesterday, will not be out this morning, its clean up day. I want to put the steamer on the bathroom floor and take the shower curtain down. We have very hard water and it stains, I need to wash the curtain every couple of months. When they put the shower in we got two curtains, but one does, so I have one to put back up.

Cheese pie and beans for supper tonight, lots of stodge.......will need to switch to our summer menus soon as the weather improves, more lighter dishes and salads.

We are off to see the new baby tomorrow afternoon, need to call at Wilkos as well, things we cannot get in our small local store.

    Morning everyone,

    A quick one from me.

Had a nice weekend. Mixed bag of working, seeing friends and sofa shopping.

Tonight I have my first Spanish lesson. Always wanted to learn it so it's something to tick off the bucket list.

OSers - Is it true the tumble drier uses lots and lots of energy?
TA - We all have a breaking point and so there's no need to apologies. I hope you and Mr TA are felling a bit more like yourselves today.
Judi - As an owner of a Seat Ibiza, he's made the right choice. Lots of problems.

TA, I'm so sorry about the news, we were all worried about you.

Dumpling, I have had to stop eating lettuce since I had my gall bladder out. It's a nuisance when we go out to eat, at home I just eat raw spinach which I find is fine, it gets a bit monotonous though when there are all those other salad leaves.

    Jackie, have a wonderful week.

We're back from Yorkshire and I'm feeling very jaded today so it will be a quiet one, although I need to do a food shop. I'm starting the blood sugar diet today in hope that it will improve my aches and pains, it certainly seemed to last year.

DD is in Edinburgh at some cocktail event, she'll be back tomorrow bu I know she has a busy few weeks ahead. DS is still working in Wednesbury, helping to set up a new warehouse.

Yes, lots and lots. The meter whizzes round when mine is on.

Thank goodness he went off the idea then as the next step for him is having his own place. I'm in no rush to see him go though.

Afternoon - the day turned very wet, as forecast but not as cold as I expected.

My morning was productive and in the afternoon the new cleaner came. She's done a sterling job upstairs, in the bathroom especially, and had to empty the GTech twice - mind you my carpets shed a lot so it wasn't at all mucky. She was very impressed with the vacuum and perhaps went a bit mad with it!

To avoid the smell of cooking cauliflower I roasted one today instead, covered in lemon juice and garlic, sprinkled with oil and then, once cooked, a few dribbles of grated parmesan over the top - extremely delicious and no nasty smell so I'll do that again.

My curtain rods have arrived, just need a bloke to go up a ladder and attach one to each of the curtain hooks so I can draw the front door curtain more easily. One of my books and one of my CDs also arrived (lots more cardboard then!) and my new cleaning brushes.

I've been allocated a load of new online students so have spent some time doing paperwork, spreadsheets and making phone calls. It all helps a rainy day go faster.

    I hope everyone's had a good day.

    Afternoon all
TA special hugs to you and MrTA . I only have two words " Life Sucks " and I know you will understand what I mean. Even having a sense of humour and broad shoulders doesn't always cut it when faced with more bad news.
I'm a bit late today as I have spent most of the day in the garden, cutting lawns and pruning my bushes ( stop giggling at the back ! ) as the green waste service resumes tomorrow. DH helped me mow the lawns and then decided to get up on his shed roof as it is leaking, so now we are looking at replacing it and the front of the shed :(.
I found a couple of lonely slices of bacon in the fridge so I have made a potato, bacon and cheese pie, so will have that with a side salad for tea.
JackieO have a lovely time on the Isle of Wight
Csarina enjoy yourself with the new baby tomorrow
    Good vibrations to all

    Evening all,

Overcast here all day, has started to drizzle in the last hour, hope that tomorrow will be better.

Dinner tonight will be steamed spuds, mashed celeriac and parsnips, whatever green stuff I find in the freezer and steak......wish that OH would stop buying steak when he goes for the paper!

TA......sorry to hear your news, take care of yourself.

Hester......so excited for you that boat will be 'home' next weekend!

Csarina.....enjoy your visit to new baby.

Judi.....well done to youngest, hope that he enjoys his car......all the best people drive white cars!

I am sure that I have missed her, but I hope that JackieO enjoys her holiday.

Enjoy the rest of the evening, nice to have more daylight.

    Evening all,

Its been a beautiful day but feels cool out now.I went with DS to watch DGD and the rest of her class do a Race for Life. They were allowed to dress up as Superheroes if they wanted but not many did and she was the only girl and DS was the only adult to run as well so they had their photo taken by the local press ;)

Came home and got stuck in to decluttering our bedroom which has become a dumping ground :o- quite pleased with what I've done, and sorted a load of craft stuff too.

DGS here overnight ready for me minding him tomorrow, wants playdough out so better go.

TA,sorry to hear the appointment wasnt good,I'm sure everyone here has their fingers crossed for you both with the neurologist.Huge hugs xxx
