US Immigration & fingerprints

Was reading another thread on here about the UK introducing fingerprinting at airports and I got to thinking about the system in the US. I've been to the US since the new regulations were introduced so they will already have my photo and fingerprints on file, but it occured to me that when we go next month that I'll have a different name and would their computer flag this up.

I've heard stories of people having problems at immigration because of injuries causing their fingerprints to change from previously stored prints (the computer highlights in irregularity and I know it can be sorted with a little bit of common sense, but people appear to have had problems nevertheless). I'm not worrying about this as I'm pretty certain that this isn't going to be a problem (as I'm sure name changes happen all the time) and I can deal with it on the day if there are any questions, but I was wondering if anyone here has first hand of this?
