eBay observations

Sorry i have to issue warning here, with a positive ebay score of 162, and no bad scores, i can confirm that some buyers will sign for items, and then say they didn't get it, and according to ebay rules, there is nothing you as the seller can do about it when this happens. But then even if you do insure items, with royal mail at least, it is expensive, and still such a palavor to claim refunds, i have reached the stage, where i am happier to sell things uninsured and just take the risk. Ebay has also made it impossible for sellers to give buyers 'negative' ratings, so even when they give you grief, threaten you for example, there is nothing you can do about it. I once even had a buyer leave me 'neutral' feedback, for an item i had sent the next day, and they even admitted that it was send quickly with good p and p, but he said the book was the wrong edition. And this was for a book i sold at 99p.

In fact the last group of items i sold, nearly all didn't get any higher than 99p each, even though they cost me between £3-8 to package and send. Ebay really doesn't know how to take care of it's sellers. But that being said, i have got some good feedback, and so that makes it all worth it i guess.

Buy the way, you can get £15+ a piece for the latest xbox one games, if you have any spare lying around? That;s about the only thing i know of, where it is actually possible to make good money from ebay!

Thanks John.

If a buyer claims INR and the seller has evidence of delivery (no signature is needed under £750) then the seller wins. Assuming that is, the seller is savvy enough to escalate the case.;)

Yes, some years ago, I lose count now but it must be 5 at least. Thankfully.

You need to start your listings at a price that is acceptable. Do you understand the cost of postage?

I don't know why you are posting random posts on lots of threads but could you please start your own thread if you have an issue rather that hijack other threads.

You seem very confused about eBay generally and some of your advice on other threads has been quite worrying. Can I suggest that if your posts are real that you take a moment to read the sticky posts here on this board and then ask specific questions about anything that you still don't understand.

I have decided to move this particular post to its own thread rather than hijack an existing thread as it was not linked at all to the OP in the thread to which it was posted.

Yup. It's about 8 years ago. I didn't know anyone was still bothered by it.

As for the OP I know of no reason a seller would have to refund for item not received when they have signed proof of delivery. If there is a further explanation as to what happened there I'm sure people here would be able to help you get that resolved.

It's a shame that the OP has logged back in but not responded. I had concerns the account was hacked as the posts were a bit random, but if the OP does has an issue I would hope they come back and ask for help.

Edit it appears the OP is posting across several other boards now so they are definitely online and using MSE.

EDIT 2 there is also another user who appears to be posting almost in tandem with the OP.
