Hi All

I am looking for some advice please in October we bought a lovely VW Tiguan by the end of December it had been back to the garage three times. Then it went back in after Christmas again. The problem that we kept having was the engine management light would come on and it would go into limp mode, other times it would loose power and the other issue was that the start stop hardly ever worked. Each time it's been in the have said
That there is nothing wrong with it. On one of the times they replaced the EGR valve. Any way on Saturday the cars engine mamanagement light came on again and went into limp mode. I am absolutely hacked off with the car. I did call the dealer where I got it from as I have been dealing with them each time explained the problem and they have asked me to call them back tomorrow.
What shall I do? I am sick of the car now am I in my rights to ask for my money back and give it back. There is a 12 month worrenty on the car.

Any advice will be great thank you.

Sounds as if it needs to go to a VW specialist for a diagnosis. Is the garage a VW main dealer?

Trouble with a dealsership is they don't employ real mechanics, just 17-20 somethings armed with a diagnostics computer. The fault could be simple, but they'll rely entirely on the computer to tell them what to do, in fact their boss would probably threaten their jobs if they did anything else, and so if the fault is not present when they test it, they won't find the fault.

Yet another lazy and unfounded generalisation.
