Had a call from James this afternoon .
He came and put up shelf in the boiler room . The last outstanding job. He was telling me that he has now got a lot of work through my generous feedback left on rated people .
I asked him if he had room in his van to take 2 shelbingnunits away .
( not too big , all packed flat) . He duly obliged .
I also had a small , toy like drum kit ( only cost£30 in WH Smith about 10 years ago unused). One of his sons wants to be a drummer so it is going to a good home .
Offshoot of all this is that James refused to charge me for the work he did on Friday and today . ( 5 hours ) .
I refused to be so mean , so I gave him £40.
You never know if I may need him in the future .
We'll have a beer sometime I'm sure .
So a good day for getting things done0 -

Yes, it seems to vary also. My last home had an arrangement where you had your own dustbin which you put outside your door once weekly . I prefer that tbh . Horses for courses and all that0 -

Hi LLHope all's well with you
Yes, that is it . The things outstanding , I can do myself .
( touch up the area where the curtain rail is / unpack a few small crates and keep or dump what's in there ./ put a few posters in frames and us up in kitchen and bedroom ) .

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

I know - nearly October already.
I am off on holiday next Monday. 12 night cruise to France, Spain and Portugal. One last crack at the sun.
When I get back it will be deepest autumn and time to Hygge.

Yes......should be fun. Weather looks set fair, low to mid 20s. Perfect for sightseeing. Not been on this ship before, it looks very luxurious. So hopefully I’m going to pampered and spoilt rotten.:rotfl:
Btw I ended up having a steroid injection in my knee last week. So I have been able to walk and exercise more. Lost 3lbs this week.0
