cost of a towel heater?

Hello,
Can anyone point me in the direction of finding out how much an electric towel heater is costing to run?
I have "discovered " my husband is switching it on before bed so he has a warm towel in the morning. I want to kill him as try and cut corners everywhere but feelI need more evidence before comitting the crime!
Our energy is with equipower and the cost is 9.36p/kwh.
All I can find on the towel rail is that it is a creda tdw2 and it had a 80w power rating.
Please don't tell me it is 80 x 9.36x 8 (hours it's on ) as I really will kill him!!!! Cause I think I make that about £6 a night.

Any other opinions?????

Thank you so much sam x

    You are guessing 100 times too much! 80W x 8 Hours = 640W
    1 kWh = 9.36p
    640 W = 0.64kWh = 5.99p

Get him to put it on a timer so that it comes on an hour before he needs it.
  • Thats what it was on, but i was generous and gave him an hour and a half. The B"$%^&*! overrides it!!!
    Now can I kill him?

  • There isn't a heater in the en suite so i guess the delicate little soul likes it be warm for him in the mornings. We only had the towel rail thing put in a couple of months ago.

But, his early Christmas present has just been delivered......to make the firewood, I ordered him a chainsaw. Hmmm;) !

If you stop him having nice warm towels, there could be a chain saw massacre in the new year!

  • Hmmm. A wood burning towel heater. Very MSE.
