Minor rear end bump

It always seems to be a "minor bump" when the poster had caused it but when someone runs into them, it's invariably always a MASSIVE IMPACT!!!0

Now I personally wouldn't report this and if a claim popped up further down the line I would just say well there was no damage and didn't seem to be any injuries at the time.
I know they could refuse to pay out the claim, but does anyone know what would actually happen? Does reasonableness come into it? Are there any example cases where claims have been refused in these sort of cases?
Unless there's contact in the next few days (possible through MID with the reg number) I wouldn't report it and if a claim popped up further down the line I'd just deny all knowledge.0 -
At 10 -15 mph, a car travels at over 14 feet per second - rear-ending a car aheead is likely to result in more damage than just a damaged number plate."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Hitting something that's still at 15mph will do damage to both vehicles. If he was moving as well then there may well have been no damage. (In the same way that two vehicles both moving at 70mph in the same direction could bump each other with no damage)
If there's no damage and he didn't take your details then I wouldn't worry about it and just move on. No need to let your insurance company bump up your premiums unnecessarily.0 -
I must have been too liberal with the speed estimate, i expected to see a crushed car by the sound and feel of it, but just a rised number plate on our Yeti and his Saab spotless :O. She reported it to her insurance for peace of mind since it was mainly her fault with slow baby brain.
And the wife has a mind of her own but it's not reasonable to make an account for one question and English isn't her mother tongue, sorry for any triggering car 540
