any modern free photo editing software better than paint shop pro 8.0.

Hi folks,


As the title says is there anything better than paint shop pro 8.0 that I have on windows 7. I had paint shop pro 9 but for some reason it won't work whereas 8 does?


Preferably free would be the best option,

paint.net always gets my vote. It's free, it's been around for a good few years, it's always being developed and updated, it is reasonably simple to use and yet has many pro-level features, there is a huge user-base, and there are many, many online resources and support tutorials.

Well you are totally right about the glasses, I do need very strong ones as well as the monitor close to to my face, such as my eyesight..
