You'll struggle to get anything but the worst sub-prime loan since you haven't started yet (and have 0 job security).

You might be able to ask your employer for an advance when you start though.

That particular poster has a strange posting style, I do wonder if the account has been hacked and I have referred it to the forum team already after 2 pages of bumped threads on the eBay board last night.

OP Payday loans are a bad idea, seriously.

    I can.

You only have to look at the amount of people who take out loans whilst unemployed or go on a big old gambling splurge to see it is they who receive all help, who end up the 'wronged ones'. Today there seems to be some sort of ruling which will facilitate them even further.

Personally I think the OP is a wind up merchant. When I have a boss who had to allow me an hour of work to sort the stomach churning mess a lender just walked away from, the FCA really think it's acceptable to tell someone their card is going to be debited and then not get round to doing when love of god it's financial services. I'm left asking the same boss to allow me holiday knowing I'm going to come stuck later in the month as a way to avoid going back down the same route to get back on an even keel, the very same boss who themselves managed to get a sub before even starting work and arranged the weekly paid temps would survive when they changed over to monthly paid - All things I darn well wish I only knew about sooner you bet.

For anyone considering a payday loan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFwPAMeVPE4

Yes, there may be cases of when it's "correct" to get one. And if everything goes according to plan and you manage to repay it, everything is peachy. The problem is that life isn't on plan, and tiny slip, not even as result of your fault, will have massive consequences for you.

Additionally, if you cannot manage in any other way, without a payday loan, then you are already stepping on the extremely thin ice.

What's better is this poster has denied that company as a Short Term Lender in a different thread they promoted them in.

If the poster is not an astroturfer then they're doing a great job of impersonating one.

Can anyone translate Deleted Users post please? I've read it 3 times and still haven't a clue.

Top the OP get to the DFW boards. If only to avoid any repeat situations as an emergency fund would've saved the day here.

    Hi all,

Please can you advise me what is best way to get about £500-£700 quickly for about 3 weeks.
I don't have any income at the moment due to a lot of exams (I'm a student at collage). I'm starting a new job from monday and I will get paid in few weeks time, but right now I really need money for living.

I tried to apply for an overdraft in my bank however I got declined because I'm not studying in university.

Is there any way I could get a short term loan anywhere ?

So if you're not at uni, I'm guessing you are under 18 and at college or sixth form? If so, again I'm assuming you are living at home, what are these costs that you so desperately need £5-700 for given that you (probably) live rent free with your parents and they provide meals etc for you?

If you have a bike, how are you affording the petrol, insurance etc. if you have no money?

Do you have any consoles/games/mobile phones etc you could sell to say Cex?

Have you actually asked your parents, rather than assume they won't help?

Don't for goodness sake use a payday loan. They are the route to madness. Can you elaborate why you actually need that much given you probably still live with your parents? Or do you? Living before you receive your first pay should be restricted to food, transport to work and any essential bills. If you cannot even meet that and your parents wont help then my suggestion is you sell or ebay something just to get you over the next few weeks until you get your first pay.
