Thanks for the tip re matalan, will head there then, after Primark.
Shiney, I'm a bit rubbish at quidco, I've bought a few things ages ago and I made £24.00 but when I plug my fiesty head on again I'll give it a go. Ta
Another thing we HAVE to get sorted is the gas fire, it really, really stinks of gas when it's on, so I will have to find the money to get it serviced and await the diagnosis. It's a very old fire.
We kind of put up with it last year, but I daren't this year.
A chunk of ceiling is about to fall down in the kitchen, held up by paint I think.
The mattresses on all our beds don't fit as they are all second hand jumbled together things.
The bath leaks....hence the ceiling about to go.
We're missing half our flooring in the kitchen due to the floods (I'm in Hull) OH refused to put in an insurance claim -don't ask
I just don't know where to start with it all.
I'm just having a bit of an 'what is the point of it all' day.....I don't get them very often but today I have.
I went to Uni for 6 years and have a professional job but all I seem to have done is get into debt by having to pay for childcare in order to get educated in order to work.
Still paying the student loan back.
I receive no maintenance from the children's absent parent and just try to remain cheerful and not bitter.
Today however I could cheerfully throw a bucket of hot sick over my DD's father.
Subsequently I don't have time to think except to try to be less chaotic in my day to day living.
Anyway, tomorrow is another day and I'll plod on.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Hey there my Chicken Lovin' friend 'oop North,
First of all ((((hugs)))) coz sometimes one of those is all you need to feel a bit better.
Listen, you are a strong, intelligent, feisty, incredibly funny, caring, thoughtful and ever so slightly unhinged lady, and that's what makes you such a great person.
You've been sensible today, even tho' you felt like walking away from it all (don't we all feel like that sometimes - all the time?), because you sorted out some of the council tax, and the phone bill. Tax Credits can just go whistle for it, and create hassle for them by sending in one of their packs.
Take a deep breath, and a step back from the situation for a mo. There isn't anything here that cannot, and will not eventually be sorted.
The house will sell.
You are well rid of your ex, and if having no £ is the price you pay for having the loser out of your life, isn't that better than him still being in it?
You have a lovely family, and friends who treasure you.
You've got chickens who need you for god's sake!
You have a snazzy breakmaker, and for that, I envy you.
Take a moment to envisage how life will be when everything is sorted out; like the house has sold, you don't have that mortgage to pay, the debts are finally cleared...... now hang onto that vision, and focus on it. It will happen, and you have to believe it will happen.
Anyway hon, I think a life coaching session is due very soon, so email me, and we'll make a date.
Take care.

Awww thanks everyone, feel better today.:hello:
Came up with a plan last night, myself and OH are setting ourselves an ebay challenge to raise the money to start to sort out some of the stuff in the house.
Today I'll ebay stuff, he's going to build the chickens a bigger run today.
Tomorrow he'll ebay loads of stuff.
And so on.
First and foremost the gas fire, next the half floor wreck of a kitchen. Anything that we can we'll fling towards debt but I can't face winter with the house as it is, it's just not homely you know.
OH has finally agreed to move some of his stuff to a 0% CC in order to get a grip on his finances......so it's a start.
Sarymclary, will ring you soon hun, in fact get a room ready I've decided you can adopt me, one more won't make a difference.....will it, I'll bring the breadmaker and the chickens, you'll not notice that I'm there.:D XXXXXDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Hello Triker. I just read your post from yesterday and felt so sorry for you. I've had days like that and it's the pits. Hope all the hugs made you feel better.
Why is that house not selling? Shall we have another go at the good vibes thing?Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Good to see you're feeling better! Onwards & upwards but try & get a bit of chill time in amongst the selling/sorting...being tired is definately a sure reason for the blues!
