Just another thought....what's the betting that even if one of the siblings were to have no part in the house share, the begging bowl might still come out, if the others haven't got the cash for major repairs.

They are all still siblings of the resident one after all. They could still but pressure on them to help out!! Double whammy!!

p.s. I hope the OP comes back some time and lets us know how things panned out.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

But at least in this scenario the OP has no stake in the house. It is no different from your siblings coming to you with the begging bowl out because they have gambling debts or fancy a new car. In the scenario where the OP has a 1/4 or 1/8 share, refusing to pay to maintain the house means it falls into ruin and they forfeit their "investment". If they have no stake, refusing to pay only costs them the tender love of their siblings, whatever that happens to be worth.

Their siblings can put pressure on them to give them some money at any time, in the same way that if you walk down the high street you are going to get pressure put on you to spare some change or save the dolphins by giving your Direct Debit details. However if they've disclaimed their share of the house it is hollow.
