A scam is where you pay for something and get either something different (and inferior) or nothing at all.

And it's also when you read a forum thread title. Then find out in fact that the scam is has nothing to do with the company mentioned in question!

It's not clear from the opening post if this is to do with the retailer or not. As I read it it the OP was ordering from their site goods for collection. When they went to log out an offer popped up.

Was this offer connected to the retailer or not? Frankly I can't tell. The headline title says it is so maybe it is?

Clear as mud I think is the phrase.

I think a heads up on this is entirely appropriate. As pointed out the T&Cs are not clear, and many of these types of schemes either rely on consumer forgetfulness or forgetfulness on the part of the company to get round to cancelling your DD following your request. Even a couple of months delay is a nice little earner.

No scheme like this is established unless there is something in it for the company setting it up.

A £15 monthly bonus when you send in your Argos receipt or a purchase made each month, 10% cashback from some other companies and you can purchase giftcards for cheaper.

The monthly bonus is per calendar month too, so I've actually made £45 total for for a purchase I've made in April and I'm going to cancel as soon as I receive the payment. The payments have got into my bank account within days of sending the receipts.

It's probably not worth it if you don't cancel unless you make a lot of purchases, but I don't think people should be warned off altogether because you basically get money for nowt.
    Make £10 per day-

A heads up may well be appropriate. Calling it a "SSSSCAAAAAMMMMM!!!!" when all the terms, conditions and costs involved are clearly available to read should the potential applicants wish to do so isn't so appropriate.

It actually sounds quite good, potentially better than quidco etc. Thanks for explaining.

But for every Autumnella there must be several others who don't use it efficiently, otherwise the company would go bust in a jiffy.
