PPI claim direct with Barclays

I wanted to check if I had PPI on some really old Barclays accounts (going back to the likes of 2001) so didn't have any account numbers etc so I used Barclays PPI complaints process on their website.

As it turns out, I did have PPI. So my question is would there be any benefit in using the MSE tool or shall I just carry on with my direct approach to Barclays?

Carry on direct, what are the reasons you think you were mis sold?.

OK thanks, I didn't even know what it was and wouldn't have paid extra for it since at the time was still living at home and wouldn't have lost a house or been in a real pickle if I lost my part time job.

They did ask me questions to this affect, which I guess is to verify if I was suitable at the time for it, which I believe I wasn't.
