potterton central heating problems

wonder if anyone can help me I have a potterton neataheat profile boiler and it will not fire up I have tried to press the reset button underneath but it doesn't work I had a leaky rad valve I drained the system changed it and refilled the rads no water was coming through at first so I put a hosepipe in the expantion tank to wash it through after a bit it must have worked because I could then get the air out of the rads the boiler would not fire up I left it for the evening and in the morning turned it on and it worked today it will not start up i have a drain on the boiler that i have turned and water came out with no bubbles etc what am i doing wrong?

I used to have a potterton my son in my last place . Still working over 20 years. You can still get parts for them .
I know that's not much help to your question , but just a bit of information in case .
