Looking at a Ford focus to buy. 81000. Apparently it's got a noise when steering on full lock. It's had cambelt changed and has 10 months mot.
Not seen it started or driven yet.
What should I be looking for.
Is the noise on full lock likely to be a issue?

A different Focus. They're everywhere, why buy a faulty one?0 -
Most likely worn cv joint in the drive shaft. On test drive turn on full lock at low speed to confirm the knocking. Sometimes you can feel the play by trying to turn the shaft by hand from under the car. Looking about £150 for replacement of the drive shaft but phone around for quotes first.0
