Ok, firstly an apology. I'm sorry. I am a plank.

In my original post I had already paid the £599 up front. I know, I know, stupid. I watched a timely Martin programme on TV, cancelled as I was still wishing my 14 day cooling off period and they came back to me with the offer as mentioned in my post. I came on here for advice and decided to hold firm to my original cancellation.

But semi disaster struck. I then did research on the company (another mistake I know - I should have done the first - I am learning from my mistakes though!). I'm so sorry for being such an idiot. The company has so many bad reviews that I immediately tried their website (under maintenance), all the phone numbers they have run me on (all dead or unanswered numbers) and had had no response from my emails.

I then did one sensible thing and rang the credit card company to raise an immediate complaint. They were brilliant. Talked me through exactly what I needed to do and within a few days have had my money refunded by them.

I am now even more determined to reclaim my PPI myself. And I will try not to be such a plank again. I appreciate all your comments and help, and will no doubt be back for more advice soon.
