Am I Still Covered?

Hi. I am the executor for a probate property. The property is empty and is in the process of being sold. I contacted the Home & Contents insurance provider, Halifax, shortly after the late owner passed away, and the policy was updated accordingly. I received an updated statement through the post advising that the first monthly Direct Debit payment of £x would be collected on the 30th of December 2016, and then there would be 7 payments of £x collected on the 30th of each following month. The policy seemed to be in order, and I checked my bank account shortly after the first payment was due - sure enough, the payment was collected as promised. However, after checking my recent statement, no further payments have been collected. I have not received any communication from Halifax at all. The payments haven't failed; they just haven't requested them. I have sent them a complaint by email and will be contacting them tomorrow - I'm eager to pay anything I owe and I'm really worried that this will now invalidate the policy. Am I still covered while this is being sorted out? Have I been covered for the last month or so? I'll check with Halifax tomorrow, but I just wondered if anyone else has any experience advice? I'm a bit of a worrier. Ta

Dont trust emails for something important. Always phone them or send a proper letter with proof of sending or delivery.

Sorry, I should have clarified - when I said 'email' I completed a complaint form on their website.

You should phone them to see whats going on. It could be a simple admin error. Just give them a call and it should be sorted. You're complaining when you don't even know the circumstances.
